Letter From A Grant Recipient

Dear Grant Application Review Committee,

THANK YOU so much for selecting our family to receive a grant up to the amount of $5000! Shortly after we received your wonderful phone call, we got another wonderful phone call. Our adoption agency called to advise us that our travel approval for the first trip to vietnam had just come through. My husband, Carl, and our twelve year old daughter, Hollie, leave for vietnam this Friday, 8/16. The purpose of this trip is to personally meet and spend time with our new little daughter, Pham Thi Luu, and to personally submit our dossier to the Department of Justice in Danang, Vietnam.

Somewhere between 2 and 3 months after this first trip Carl and I will travel to Vietnam to finalize the adoption and bring Thi Luu home. We are so excited to know that soon this little one will home with here forever family.

We are thanking God for working in the hearts of your board members and causing you to select our family to receive this much needed financial assistance. The two-trip requirement for this adoption is a huge obstacle for our family due to the associated travel costs. the news of your grant provided immediate relief to the stress we were feeling as we contemplated how to finance the cost of the two trips.

We will keep you posted with updates and photos as we progress though the adoption process.
