Gift of Adoption Fund

Babysit for Adoption is a great way for teens to make a difference in the lives of children around the world.

Babysit for Adoption was started by a high school student who was personally touched by adoption and who had a deep desire to do something concrete to improve the lives of children in need of families.

The program enables teenagers and young adults to band together to accomplish something wonderful and lasting - to help a child become adopted into a permanent and loving family.

To participate in the campaign, all one needs to do is to arrange one or more babysitting engagements and follow the steps below to donate the proceeds to this campaign.

100% of proceeds from this program will go directly to fund adoption assitstance grants that provide the final funding needed to complete an adoption.

How to Participate

Participating is easy.

Step 1: Download the Babysit For Adoption Toolkit for all the information you need to get started.

Step 2: Arrange one or more babysitting engagements. Feel free to share with the family up front that you are participating in this campaign, as any matching or additional donations are tax deductible.

Step 3: Following your babysitting engagement, forward all donations from your babysitting family, yourself, or your family and friends to Gift of Adoption (directions are in the Babysit For Adoption Toolkit).

Become a Coordinator in Your Community

If you feel particularly compelled by this cause and campaign, consider becoming a campaign coordinator in your school, church or community. The experience will not only be fulfilling from a personal standpoint, but it could also perhaps satisfy a school service requirement or serve you well when applying for college.
